14 Apr JOY CONAWAY’S NEWEST SINGLE “ALONE” IS SUMMER SOUNDTRACK READY!
I have no qualms about calling it now: Atlanta based indie artist Joy Conaway’s latest song, “Alone,” will be synonymous with the summer of ‘17. Following in the footsteps of Joy’s other releases, “Alone” tip toes across the tight rope that separates reality from fantasy. Joy’s poppy vocals, poised and plush, tell a story of pain without regret and a future full of moxie. Sour feelings don’t stand a chance when faced with this brokenhearted but rejuvenating anthem. I can’t listen to it without dancing, even in the car. “Alone” is raw, upbeat, and unlike anything you’ve heard yet. With lyrics like “gave my heart to a beauty in the tribe, gave it back with a bruise on the side” and “I’m the type of woman that’ll build you up – hold you down, ten toes, never give you up,” you’ll see the vibrant imagery come alive for yourself. Give it a listen. Then, fasten it to all of your spring and summer playlists. Like a fluorescent festival wristband, a surfboard’s Velcro ankle strap, or a bronzy, sun kissed glow – you won’t want to let this track slip away!
